Bengaluru, March 24 -- Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Tuesday unveiled a sweeping overhaul of fan movement and match-day logistics, introducing free metro travel for ticket holders and a strict no-vehicle zone around the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in the backdrop of last year's stampede incident.

Addressing the media, RCB CEO Rajesh Menon said the measures are aimed at preventing overcrowding and ensuring safer access to the stadium.

"Every ticket holder will get a free metro ride. We strongly encourage fans to use public transport as there is sufficient connectivity around the stadium," Menon said.

In a major change, private vehicles will not be allowed anywhere near the stadium on match days.
