Bhubaneswar, Sept. 8 -- In the wake of the Satya Niketan building tragedy, the Odisha Government has intensified its crackdown on unsafe and dilapidated structures, ordering a fresh, time-bound assessment of buildings across the State and directing officials to initiate action, including demolition, wherever they pose a threat to life and property.

State Housing and Urban Development Minister Dr Krushna Chandra Mahapatra said a "15-day inquiry and inspection team has been constituted to identify structurally vulnerable buildings and recommend necessary action.
