Bengaluru, June 5 -- Fresh signs of unease within the Karnataka Congress surfaced on Friday amid speculation that senior leader KH Muniyappa could emerge as the next flashpoint in the ruling party's simmering discontent over Cabinet formation and portfolio allocation, days after DK Shivakumar took over as Chief Minister.
The speculation comes in the wake of the resignation of senior minister R Ramalinga Reddy, who quit the Cabinet citing humiliation over the portfolio assigned to him, exposing faultlines within the newly formed government.
