Kabul, March 11 -- Afghanistan's upcoming series against Sri Lanka in the United Arab Emirates has been postponed until the end of the year because of the current conflict in the Middle East.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) confirmed that the bilateral series, scheduled to begin on 13 March in the UAE, has been rescheduled to the last quarter of 2026 "due to logistical challenges, including flight constraints arising from the ongoing regional situation".

Sharjah had been set to host three Twenty20 International matches on March 13, 15 and 17, with three one-day internationals to follow in Dubai on March 20, 22 and 25, according to BBC sport.
