Kabul, May 27 -- Afghanistan have announced their squads for the upcoming ODI and Test series against India, with Hashmatullah Shahidi set to lead both sides.
The Test match will mark Afghanistan's first red-ball meeting against India since 2018, when Afghanistan made their debut in Test cricket.
The notable absentees from the Afghanistan Test squad are star spinner Rashid Khan and batter Ibrahim Zadran, although both players have been included in the ODI squad for the series against India.
The one-off Test squad features maiden call-ups for Nangyal Kharoti, Bilal Sami and Rahmanullah Zadran, while spinner Qais Ahmad returns to the setup.
