Chandigarh, June 5 -- Punjab Police have claimed a breakthrough in its ongoing crackdown on organised crime, narcotics trafficking, and illegal weapons, with multiple operations leading to the arrest of several suspects and the recovery of heroin, sophisticated firearms, cash, and ammunition.
In Amritsar, Commissionerate Police dismantled an alleged international drug, arms, and hawala network and arrested six people, including an Afghan national and two juveniles. Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said the operation was carried out based on specific intelligence inputs.
