Kakinada, Aug. 27 -- Kakinada Joint Collector Apurva Bharat on Thursday directed officials to make advance arrangements for procurement of paddy produced by farmers during the 2026-27 Kharif season, ensuring that they receive the minimum support price (MSP).
Reviewing the Kharif paddy procurement arrangements with officials of Civil Supplies, Agriculture, Transport, Cooperation, Legal Metrology and the Food Corporation of India (FCI) at the Collectorate here, the Joint Collector stressed the need for coordination among all departments.
He directed officials to ensure that all necessary facilities are made available at paddy procurement centres so that farmers do not face any inconvenience.
