Hyderabad, March 31 -- In a crackdown on food adulteration, the city police on Tuesday busted an illegal unit manufacturing adulterated ginger and garlic paste at Kattedan and arrested a suspect.
On credible information, the Commissioner's Task Force, Khairtabad Zone Team, along with the H-Fast team, apprehended Hasan Ali Rupani (55), owner of SKR Food Products, who was found preparing the paste under highly unhygienic conditions using inferior quality raw materials, garlic peels, and chemical substances such as acetic acid and xanthan gum (food additive).
