Kolkata, May 22 -- The West Bengal government would appoint administrators in civic bodies where councillors and members of mayoral councils have resigned, in a bid to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of services, Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Minister Agnimitra Paul said on Friday.
Speaking on the functioning of urban local bodies across the state, Paul said the government had already posted administrators in at least seven municipalities and civic agencies in West Bengal following a spate of resignations and vacancies in elected boards.
