Lucknow, Aug. 4 -- Uttar Pradesh Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh has ordered officials to resolve all water supply complaints in villages within 24 hours.
He said rural residents should not face any disruption in drinking water supply and warned that strict action would be taken against officers and employees found responsible for lapses in service delivery.
The minister issued the directions while reviewing the progress of Jal Jeevan Mission projects here on Tuesday evening.
He instructed officials to respond promptly to all complaints related to water supply and emphasised that negligence of any kind would not be tolerated.
