Mumbai, May 2 -- Adani Power Ltd plans to invest in international power projects in the thermal, hydel as well as electricity transmission sectors whenever opportunities arise, according to a company official.

"We are expanding our area of focus beyond Indian territory. We will evaluate international projects in the thermal, hydro and transmissions sector and invest in attractive opportunities that qualify. We recently incorporated an SPV in Bhutan for a 520 MW hydroelectric power plant with this aim.
