Mumbai, July 15 -- Adani Power Ltd officially announced here on Wednesday that it has signed a 25-year Power Supply Agreement (PSA) with the state-run Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) for the long-term supply of 1,600 MW of electricity from a new ultra-supercritical thermal power plant.
The agreement follows the Letter of Award (LoA) issued by the MSEDCL on March 15, after Adani Power emerged as the successful bidder in a competitive tender for long-term supply of 1,600 MW.
As per the bid, the company had quoted a first-year tariff of Rs 5.30 per kWh, with power supply scheduled to commence from FY31.
