Kolhapur, May 30 -- A total of 44 candidates remained in the fray for 14 seats in the All India Marathi Film Corporation (AIMFC) Director Board elections, with Marathi actress Varsha Usgaonkar, singer Anand Shinde and film editor Vijay Khochikar elected unopposed.
A total 13 out of 60 candidates have withdrawn from the AIMFC elections, which have been in the news for the past few days.
Now 44 candidates are in the fray for 14 seats.
It is clear that there will be a direct contest between two panels and independents.
The final list along with the distribution of symbols will be held today, Friday.
Actress Varsha Usgaonkar, singer Anand Shinde, and editor Vijay Khochikar were elected unopposed, after rival contenders withdrew.
