Srinagar, June 19 -- : The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday filed a charge sheet against a Fire and Emergency Services official in a bribery case registered last year following allegations of demand for illegal gratification from a resident of Baramulla, officials said on Friday.
The accused, Nisar Ahmad Wani, the then Senior Fireman at Sopore, was booked under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act after a complaint lodged in December 2024 alleged that he had demanded a bribe in connection with an official matter.
The ACB completed its investigation and presented the charge sheet before the Special Judge, Anti-Corruption, Baramulla Court for trial.
