New Delhi, March 29 -- Delhi Police's Crime Branch arrested a 52-year-old inter-state arms supplier who was allegedly providing illegal weapons to criminal gangs operating across Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, an official said on Sunday.

According to the police, the accused, Mohd Israr, a resident of Shamli in Uttar Pradesh, had been absconding since August 2024 in connection with an Arms Act case registered by the Crime Branch.

"He had been declared a proclaimed offender by a court and carried a cumulative reward announced by Delhi and Haryana police," the police said.
