Kolkata, June 1 -- Trinamool Congress National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee on Monday did not appear before the West Bengal Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at its headquarters Bhawani Bhavan here in connection with the alleged Assembly signature forgery case, citing health reasons, sources said.
Banerjee had been asked to appear before the state investigating agency at around noon for questioning in the ongoing probe into the controversy surrounding alleged forged signatures linked to the West Bengal Assembly. However, despite the summons, he did not turn up at the CID headquarters.
