Kolkata, June 16 -- Trinamool Congress National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee appeared before the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at Bhawani Bhavan on Tuesday in connection with an investigation into an alleged provocative remark made during the Assembly election campaign.
Banerjee had previously been summoned on Sunday in connection with the alleged forged-signature case involving the West Bengal Assembly.
This time, the CID called him for questioning over a complaint linked to his controversial "DJ" remark made during the election campaign.
According to sources, a cyber-complaint had been lodged against Banerjee in Salt Lake over the statement.
