Chandigarh, May 1 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab is set to move a vote of confidence in the State Assembly on Friday to demonstrate its strength following the defection of six Rajya Sabha MPs to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The floor test, intended to serve as a "loyalty test" for the party's 94 MLAs, is expected to be tabled by Cabinet Minister Aman Arora after the session, which was briefly adjourned until 3:00 PM, resumes its proceedings.
