New Delhi, March 18 -- AAP on Wednesday said that the Palam fire incident in Delhi, which claimed at least nine lives, was "extremely tragic" and raised concerns over what it described as increasing fire-related incidents in the national capital, while criticising the BJP-led Delhi government over preparedness and response.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders cited reports suggesting that a malfunctioning hydraulic lift allegedly hampered rescue efforts during the blaze in a five-storey building located in Palam. The party flagged concerns about fire safety infrastructure, particularly in densely populated areas with narrow lanes and multi-storey structures.
