Chandigarh, Aug. 25 -- A political fight between the ruling Aam Aadmi Party and the BJP over control of Ludhiana Municipal Corporation's powerful Finance and Contracts Committee (F&CC) turned physical on Tuesday, forcing police to intervene and the mayor to suspend the House meeting.
What began as an argument over the election of two F&CC members quickly became a confrontation between councillors from the two parties. AAP councillors Ashwani Sharma and Sukhmail Singh and BJP councillors Gauravjit Gora and Mukesh Khatri were involved in the scuffle before other councillors and police separated them.
