New Delhi, May 31 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today alleged that negligence and corruption within the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) contributed to the collapse of a multi-storey building in Delhi's Saidulajab area near Saket, an incident that claimed several lives and left others injured.

Addressing a press conference, AAP's Delhi unit president Saurabh Bharadwaj claimed that local residents had repeatedly alerted authorities about the condition of the building and ongoing construction activity. According to him, complaints regarding the structure allegedly tilting and concerns over unauthorized construction were submitted to both the MCD and Delhi Police weeks before the collapse.
