New Delhi, Aug. 12 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday alleged large-scale irregularities in the Delhi government's procurement of bicycles for schoolgirls, claiming it purchased an identical bicycle from the open market for Rs 4,200 against the government's procurement price of Rs 6,957 per unit.
Addressing a press conference, Delhi AAP president Saurabh Bharadwaj placed the government-distributed bicycle alongside the one purchased by the party, claiming the comparison exposed significant differences in quality despite the higher price paid by the government.
