Agartala, April 13 -- A tragic incident has unfolded in Belatali locality in Udaipur, under Tripura's Gomati district, sparking shock on Monday, when a suspended teacher, identified as Ajit Das, was suspected of murdering his wife and son in their sleep before attempting to take his own life.
According to police, Ajit Das allegedly killed his wife, Rupa Das (45), and their son, Diganta Das (19), last night while both the victims were in deep sleep. Diganta was a student at ICFAI University, Tripura. This chilling crime came to light early this morning after neighbours alerted police.
