Chandigarh, Feb. 25 -- A shocking incident involving the attempted kidnapping of a 12th-grade Dalit student and molestation has come to light from Siriwala village in Bathinda district.
The incident took place at the entrance of a government school located within the jurisdictional area of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), who is the wife of Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains. Despite the gravity of the allegations, the victim's family has alleged police inaction even three days after the crime.
