Patna, Oct. 16 -- A total of 98 children with congenital conditions such as cleft lip, cleft palate and tongue-tie have undergone free surgeries at various hospitals across Bihar under a special initiative of the state.
Health Department, officials said here on Friday that the surgeries had been performed till October 15 as part of a special campaign being conducted from October 2 to November 14, to provide timely treatment to children affected by these conditions.
Health Minister Nishant Kumar said the objective of the initiative was to ensure that every child affected by congenital conditions receives quality treatment free of cost.
