New Delhi, May 6 -- The Centre on Wednesday said fuel supplies remain stable across the country despite the escalating geopolitical situation in West Asia, while assuring citizens that adequate stocks of petrol, diesel and LPG are available and urging people not to indulge in panic buying.

At a media briefing held at the National Media Centre here, officials from the Ministries of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Ports, Shipping and Waterways, and External Affairs outlined measures being taken to maintain fuel supplies, protect maritime operations and ensure the safety of Indian nationals in the region.
