Greater Noida, Sept. 24 -- In a tragic accident in Greater Noida, nine people were charred alive in a moving private bus after it suddenly caught fire late Wednesday night near Jewar Airport on the Yamuna Expressway.
Several others were injured, who have been hospitalised. Police are investigating the incident. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognisance of the incident.
According to reports, the accident occurred around midnight. The bus had travelled about 34 kilometres from Noida when a fire broke out, causing panic among the passengers. Upon discovering the fire, some passengers jumped from the moving bus to save their lives. Within a short time, the fire engulfed the entire bus, leaving many trapped inside.
