Panchkula, July 28 -- The Centre has informed Parliament that the 8th Central Pay Commission (CPC) is not required to provide periodic updates on its deliberations, consultations or recommendations, even as it is expected to submit its report within 18 months of its constitution.
A written reply tabled in the Rajya Sabha stated that the 8th CPC was constituted through a resolution dated November 3, 2025, which lays down its Terms of Reference (ToR).
Under the resolution, the Commission has been mandated to submit its recommendations within 18 months from the date of its constitution.
