Mumbai, Aug. 18 -- A non-venomous rat snake was rescued from Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan's residence 'Mannat' in Bandra West here after two snakes were reportedly spotted on the premises, officials said here on Tuesday.
Wildlife rescuer Vicky Dubey said on Monday evening he received a call around 8 pm about two snakes seen coiled together in the compound.
Dubey immediately informed Forest Department Round Officer Deepak Dada Gaikwad and the Mumbai Range Office, Thane, following which a rescue team reached the spot.
The rescuers found an eight-foot-long dhaman snake hiding under a staircase in the compound. The snake was frightened but was safely rescued without causing it any injury.
