Agartala, June 29 -- Tripura police arrested eight Bangladeshi nationals Sunday evening on charges of allegedly entering the state illegally and attempting to travel further from Agartala's Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport.
Police said the operation commenced after receiving intelligence input, which indicated that four Bangladeshi nationals planned to enter Tripura and fly out of the state via the airport. Acting on this information, police stepped up surveillance and initially apprehended four individuals.
