New Delhi, Aug. 4 -- The Cyber Police Station of Delhi's Central district has busted an alleged fake placement racket operating and arrested seven people, including the alleged mastermind, for cheating job seekers by collecting bogus registration and processing fees.
The arrests were made following a complaint from a Karol Bagh resident who alleged that he was duped of Rs 4,800 after being promised a job through the agency running under the name "Next Step Advisors".
According to police, the complainant had applied for a job online and received a WhatsApp message on July 24 from a person posing as an HR executive. He was called for an interview the following day at an office in Uttam Nagar, where he was asked to pay registration and accou...
