Hyderabad, Aug. 30 -- union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy on Sunday said 42 railway stations across Telangana were being developed simultaneously, with several, including Vikarabad, Tandur, Nampally, Secunderabad, Moula-Ali and Cherlapally, being upgraded to international standards. Cherlapally Terminal has also been developed as a state-of-the-art facility.

Speaking to the media after inspecting the modernisation works at Vikarabad Railway Station, he said the project was being taken up at a cost of Rs 27 crore. The station handles around 15,000 passengers and 60 trains daily, with a waiting hall, VIP lounge and parking facilities being provided. Officials have been directed to complete the works by year-end.
