Puducherry, March 24 -- A four-day Mega TB screening camp began at JIPMER on the occasion of the World TB day, on Tuesday.
The camp was being organised by the the Department of Pulmonary Medicine, JIPMER and would continue till March 27.
According to a JIPMER release, the initiative aims to promote early detection, timely treatment and prevention of tuberculosis.
Aligned with the global theme for World TB Day 2026 -- "Yes! We Can End TB: Led by countries, powered by people", as outlined by the World Health Organization (WHO) the camp seeks to actively engage the community, healthcare professionals and stakeholders in a collective effort to combat TB.
