Imphal, March 27 -- Combined forces have launched intensive operations following wide scale attacks on army, security personnel, and internally displaced persons by Kuki militants in different parts of the state.
In separate operations, 33 Kuki militants and miscreants involved in the crimes were also arrested, police said on Friday.
Police said that suspected Kuki militants launched a coordinated attack on security forces and nearby civilian areas in Bishnupur district on Wednesday night, prompting retaliatory firing and a series of intensified operations across multiple districts. The attack continued till Thursday.
