Beed, May 26 -- Serious safety concerns have emerged in district council schools in Patoda taluka of Beed district, where as many as 33 classrooms have fallen into a dilapidated condition, putting the lives of students at risk.

With the monsoon season approaching, officials have identified 22 classrooms that require immediate repairs, but the proposal remains stuck in administrative procedures due to alleged official apathy.

The situation has also cast uncertainty over preparations for the new academic year scheduled to begin from June 16. Internal confusion within the Education Department has reportedly delayed decision-making, raising fears about whether students will be able to attend classes safely once schools reopen.
