Chandigarh, June 9 -- : Three tourists from Punjab narrowly escaped a tragedy after being swept away by the strong currents of the Parvati River in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu district on Tuesday, officials said.
The incident took place near Manikaran, a popular pilgrimage and tourist destination, where members of a family from Punjab had stopped along the riverbank after visiting a gurdwara in the area. According to local authorities, the tourists were taking selfies close to the river when they reportedly lost their footing and were pulled into the fast-flowing waters.
