Wardha, May 22 -- Three members of a family, including a six-year-old girl, were killed in a tragic road accident on National Highway 44 near Saguna Factory in Hinganghat town of Maharashtra's Wardha district on Friday, police said.
The deceased were identified as Gajanan Wankhede (45), his wife Pallavi Wankhede (38) and their daughter Aarohi Wankhede (6), residents of Kurla village in Samudrapur tehsil.
According to police, the family was travelling on a two-wheeler to Hinganghat to purchase clothes when an unidentified speeding vehicle coming from the opposite direction allegedly rammed into their moped near Hotel Tanveer on NH-44.
The impact of the collision was severe, killing all three on the spot, officials said.
