Hyderabad, July 10 -- As many as 27 students of a Tribal Welfare Boys Gurukul at Mannanur village in Amrabad mandal of Nagarkurnool district were hospitalised after allegedly suffering food poisoning following breakfast served at the hostel.
The students complained of stomach pain and vomiting soon after consuming breakfast and were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment on Thursday.
Several others received treatment at the Mannanur Primary Health Centre.
District officials visited the hospital, interacted with the affected students and assured their parents that all necessary medical care was being provided.
Hospital authorities said the students were recovering well and that most of them were expected to be discharged soon.
