Nashik , July 27 -- A newly constructed Rs 250-crore cement concrete road being built for the upcoming Kumbh Mela on the Trimbakeshwar State Highway has developed a massive crack even before the mega religious event, triggering serious concerns over construction quality and project execution.
The collapse, which occurred on Monday within Trimbakeshwar limits, caused a section of the road to sink, disrupted traffic, and intensified demands for a thorough technical investigation into the high-value infrastructure project.
The road, located about 18 km from Nashik city, has already been facing persistent traffic congestion due to ongoing construction.
