Rohtak, Nov. 3 -- Haryana Police's Special Task Force (STF), Rohtak, has seized 25,000 live cartridges and arrested five men in Jhajjar district, uncovering a suspected interstate ammunition supply network involving Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
The seizure was made on Tuesday following a tip-off from Bihar STF. The police searched two vehicles parked near Triveni Dhaba in Rohad and recovered 25,000 cartridges and eight mobile phones. Both vehicles were also seized.
According to police, 24,400 live cartridges bearing the markings KF 7.65 and BMM KF were recovered from a vehicle in which three men were travelling , while another 600 cartridges marked BMM KF were seized from another vehicle in which two men were travelling.
