New Delhi, Aug. 4 -- The Anti-Snatching and Burglary (ASB) Cell of East District has busted an interstate illicit liquor supply network with the arrest of a 24-year-old alleged bootlegger and the seizure of 147 cartons of liquor that was allegedly being transported from Haryana for distribution in Delhi, police said on Tuesday.
The accused, identified as Mohit, a resident of Shamli district in Uttar Pradesh, was apprehended during a joint operation by the ASB Cell and the Delhi Excise Department near Ghazipur Shamshan Ghat during the intervening night of August 2 and 3, said the police officials.
