Bengaluru, June 23 -- Karnataka Leader of Opposition R. Ashoka's admission that 2-3 BJP MLAs had allegedly cross-voted in the recent Legislative Council (MLC) elections has triggered a political ripple within the state unit of the party, exposing visible strains over internal discipline.

Speaking to reporters, Ashoka said the party had received clear indications that a small section of BJP legislators had voted against the official party line during the MLC polls.
