Hyderabad, June 3 -- In a joint operation, the Hyderabad City Police Task Force and S R Nagar police arrested a suspended CISF constable and seized 158 kg of dried ganja worth around Rs 79 lakh from his possession.

The accused was identified as Panagoodu Shivakrishna (39), a resident of Kerala and native of Alluri Sitarama Raju district in Andhra Pradesh.

Police said he was arrested near Nature Cure Hospital in S.R. Nagar on Tuesday night.

Besides the ganja, police also seized a Chevrolet Sail car and three mobile phones from the accused.

According to police, Shivakrishna joined the CISF in 2009 and later served in the NDRF on deputation. He allegedly entered the ganja trafficking business to clear financial debts and procured narcotics...
