Lucknow, Oct. 10 -- A total of 152 candidates remain in the fray for election to 11 seats of Teachers and Graduate constituencies of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council.
Over 14.81 lakh voters will cast their votes on October 23 to decide their fate.
A total of 2,697 polling booths have been set up for the polling. Counting of votes will be taken up on October 27.
On the last day of withdrawals on Friday, seven candidates withdrew their nomination papers.
These include three candidates from the Graduate and four from the Teacher constituencies.
According to Election Commission here on Saturday, the maximum number of candidates, of 24, are in the Varanasi division graduate seat.
