Mumbai, July 3 -- The Maharashtra Legislative Assembly's monsoon session witnessed high-decibel protests on Friday as opposition members raised concerns over the absence of cabinet ministers during the Question Hour.

The resulting ruckus forced a temporary adjournment of the proceedings.

Once the session resumed, the focus shifted to a pressing public safety issue as MLA Arjun Khotkar moved a calling-attention motion regarding the alarming surge in stray dog attacks in Jalna. Khotkar reported that 93 citizens have fallen victim to dog bites in Jalna within the last 15 days alone.
