Bengaluru, Aug. 31 -- Thirteen people from Karnataka remain untraced following the devastating flash floods along the Nepal-Tibet border, Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said on Monday, as the state government intensified efforts to establish their whereabouts and ensure their safe return.
The latest development has heightened concern among families as rescue and identification operations continue in the flood-ravaged region, where access remains severely disrupted and several people are still missing.
Shivakumar said the state government was coordinating with the Ministry of External Affairs and Indian authorities to trace the missing Kannadigas and obtain verified information on their status.
