Panchkula, Oct. 8 -- As many as 13,900 schoolchildren participated in a 45-day competition aimed at strengthening logical reasoning, mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills, with 96 students qualifying for the district-level Puzzle and Pattern Championship 2026 held here on Thursday.
Organised under the Nipun Panchkula Mission, the competition covered school, cluster and block-level rounds before culminating in the district finale at Chitkara International School, Sector 28.
Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda, who attended the event, called for a shift from rote memorisation to reasoning-based learning, particularly at the primary school level.
