Thane, July 3 -- A truck loaded with 12 tonnes of jaggery was left hanging precariously from a bridge on Ghodbunder Road in neighbouring Thane district after the driver lost control early Friday, officials said. No injuries or casualties were reported.
The incident took place around 5:00 am on the Kasarvadavali Bridge, near Titan Hospital and opposite Oscar Hospital.
The highway police received information about the accident at 9:10 am.
The Tata truck, bearing registration number MH-12 FC-6177, was moving from Pune to Dahanu when it rammed into the bridge divider after the driver lost control. The collision left the front portion of the vehicle dangling off the bridge.
