Dhaka, April 2 -- An 11-party opposition alliance led by the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has announced a rally and protest march in Dhaka on Saturday, in a bid to intensify pressure on the Tarique Rahman government to implement what it termed as a "referendum-backed mandate for constitutional reform," in reference to the implementation of the July Charter, which currently has been put on hold.

The Islamic group's rally is scheduled for the evening at the north gate of the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
