Pune, July 31 -- The Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate has constituted an 11-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) to conduct a comprehensive probe into the deadly building collapse at the Moshi garbage depot that claimed the lives of nine people.
The SIT, headed by a Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), has been tasked with investigating all aspects of the incident, including the technical reasons behind the collapse, adherence to safety regulations, and the role of the company involved, along with other individuals or agencies responsible for the project.
According to police officials, the investigation will examine whether mandatory safety protocols were followed during the construction and operation of the structure.
